Review of Two Lovers (1928) by Frank N — 27 Mar 2010
Feels very real and gritty and arty, but is actually long-winded and predictable and only occasionally engaging. Phoenix does a good job portraying an unlikeable screw-up, but his character stays shallow as do the characters of Paltrow and Shaw.
