Review of Two-Lane Blacktop (1971) by John L — 17 Mar 2008
It's a western in disguise. It's strong yet reserved presence is where this movie's soul truely lies. It's the old gun-fighter's hustle; drifting town to town, challenging the fastest draw, but instead of pistols they use hot rods and instead of talking about the olden days they talk about their old cars.
Great movie.
