Review of Two-Lane Blacktop (1971) by Zhanyi J — 24 Jun 2008
Distinctly different from the self-affirming message of Vanishing Point and the misguided morality play of Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry, this is the road movie that speaks for itself because it lets viewers read between the lines.
Hellman's touch allows the viewer time to think, approaching the car film from an almost meditative perspective. Thoroughly enjoyable.
