Review of Two-Lane Blacktop (1971) by Richard D — 07 Jul 2008
The best road film. By far. Minimalist dialogue and self-conscious (non) acting by Wilson and Taylor make this almost a zen meditation of perpetual movement. Of course, the mighty Warren gets the best lines, and there's a super strange cameo from Harry Dean, but this is like a Kerouac book on celluloid.
Its also got one of the best endings to a film ever. That's a fact.
