Review of Two for the Money (2005) by Jacques S — 10 Jun 2007
This movie is about 1000 times better than I thought it would be. Pacino is great, but then again, I could watch him read the back of a cereal box and be entertained. McConaughey (spell that 5 times fast) is actually pretty good, too, and the film is well directed by DJ Caruso, who also directed "The Salton Sea" and a bunch of episodes of "The Shield".
But the script is uneven and often predictable, the football scenes are poorly choreographed, and the dialogue is pretty bad for every character other than Pacino's. All in all, a fine but forgettable film.
