Review of Two Days, One Night (2014) by Kyle B — 31 Jan 2015
I adore Marion Cotillard and this adds to the never ending resume of great performances from her career. I support the Oscar nomination but it would of been nice if the movie itself was nominated for Best Foreign Film.
It is simple and nice story but I will say it gets a little repetitive at times even though it is supposed to be. But the thing is when you go to a new co worker and get the immediate response of no or yes in support of Cotillard's character, you can fill in the blanks for the rest of the scene because most of them are word for word the same.
It could have been a little more creative in the way they worded their responses but other than that thought it was well written. Overall, it's a nice simplistic film that even someone that doesn't watch a whole lot of foreign films can follow.
It also has a very nice ending that you'll cheer for but not in the way you expect it.
