Review of Two-Bit Waltz (2014) by Matthew S — 01 Jun 2015
While Clara Mamet's filmmaking debut hints at some potential, but it is hidden within a film cluttered in borrowed styles and eccentricities. With a cast like this, she might have been able to get away with it if had applied just a bit of depth or realism.
The film that starts with a few amusing moments, but it takes a fast jarring turn to bland, obnoxious and completely unoriginal. What must be noted is Clare Mamet's use of language in the construction of dialog.
As the daughter of a masterful playwright, you can't help but notice.
