Review of Twixt (2011) by Mathieu F — 24 Jun 2012
Perhaps what Coppola wanted to say with this one was simply "I don't care what you expect from me. I just want to do my own thing - and this time my thing is a silly 'art-school project'-like ditty about Edgar Allan Poe and perhaps some vampires". If it was, he managed to do exactly that. Well done, Francis Ford!
(The most magical thing about this production was how they managed to conjure forth some kind of jawline for Val Kilmer on the movie poster.).
