Review of Twixt (2011) by Jacob F — 12 Jan 2013
Has more life and is more interesting than FFC's previous 2 "personal," small films. But this is bordering on private dream-journal territory mixed with broad genre strokes. The French Auteur crowd loves the implications this has on his oeuvre, but if you take FFC's name off, while the middle part makes it watchable (and it's silly enough though I don't think it knows how silly it actually is), it's only a step up from basic-cable made for TV movie in quality and content.
