Review of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992) by João P — 23 Dec 2015
A failed attempt at trying to make Twin Peaks again, this film fails in answering all the questions we had, as well as keeping our interest in the story. With many of our loved characters reduced to mere cameos or absent at all, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is a bizarre story that sheds almost no light on the events of the death of Laura Palmer.
However, Sheryl Lee is able to shine in this film and show a range of emotions she wasn't able to portray in the show, and Kyle MacLachlan is great, once again, as the charismatic and likable Dale Cooper, even though his presence is not very strong throughout the film.
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is a disappointment for die-hard fans of the show, but it makes a serviceable job in showing the events that preceded the death of Laura Palmer.
