Easily the greatest film ever made, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is a massive , raw, powerhouse of emotion. Captivating and consuming! From beginning to end this film drowns the audience with unfiltered emotions including fear, confusion, sorrow, hatred, and even the smallest amounts of joy. This film is truly horrifying, yet at the same time moving. I wouldn't recommend this film to just anyone though. Only people who have watched the television series Twin Peaks in it's entirety and loved every minute of it can begin to appreciate what this film is. Still many may feel let down or incomplete. This film is in no way a replacement of the series Twin Peaks, yet at the same time it is equally as beautiful. The biggest complaint from many is that this film lacked the innocence that the show held. This is true, but the lack of innocence only helps illustrate the corruption that hides on the underbelly of society.

Fire Walk With Me is the prequel to the T.V. Twin Peaks and tells the story of the seemingly perfect Laura Palmer. The T.V. show was about a small mountain town with a friendly and innocent atmosphere and a dark secret. The show beautifully demonstrates the contrast between good and evil. Fire Walk With Me only shows the evil and in the last flickering moments of the film we see nothing but pure emotion and it is beautiful.

Sheryl Lee is an underrated actress and was never given her entire due, but none the less she is one of the greatest actress in the history of film making.

David Lynch. Thats all there is to say. He is David Lynch. David Lynch is the only director that is capable of such vision and at the same time able to achieve a perfect performance from anyone.

Fire Walk With Me in combination with Twin Peaks is the greatest piece of film work ever made, let alone ever conceived. Many will dislike it. Even more will hate it. The truth of the matter is simply that it is the greatest film in history, but will be remembered to many as a failure because of American critics and an audience that has to be spoon feed their answers because the cannot tolerate the idea of thinking on their own.
