Not Lynch's best work, but it's a nice companion to the show. It's great to see Sheryl Lee as a living Laura Palmer, but once again Dale Cooper and Gordon Cole are the best characters. There's a great bizarre David Bowie bit as well. Oh yeah...and Harry Dean Stanton of course.
Considerably darker and more in your face than the show, Fire Walk With Me suffers from the cuts Lynch made to get the runtime down to a more marketable length.Yeah, I know it's Laura's story really but some of the meat of this just feels like it's missing.
Someone get Lynch the rights to the cut material and let him put together a proper version of this film.
