Review of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992) by Ryan B — 10 Jul 2015
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is, altogether, a rather underwhelming big screen adaptation of the story that kicked off a superior television drama. A majority of the movie seems to take on the elements of the later half of the show's second season, which was a bit of a disappointment, though still interesting.
Most of its wasted potential, however, is somewhat redeemed through the film's climax and conclusion, which reflects the show's persistence to provide us with exciting payoff no matter how iffy the quality of the storytelling that got us there.
It's not a necessity for fans of the show, but it's certainly worth checking out.
