Review of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992) by Michael S — 26 Jan 2008
A brilliant ending to the Twin Peaks series. Many do not like it because it does not deal with the cliffhanger ending of season 2. That was never what the movie was suppose to do though. FWWM is the prequel to the series.
Showing the events up to Laura Palmer's murder. Without viewing the series first, much of FWWM is rather hard to understand. Also knowing that lynch was able to make the movie as dark as he wanted the series to be helps understand the change in tone from the series.
Awesome film. I wish he had been able to make the other two films he intended to make. However, the series started with Laura's murder, and ends with it as well.
