Review of Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983) by Greg C — 29 Oct 2011
Hate to say it but Segment 1 was the best. Twilight Zone was always at its best when it was moralizing things and they sure did that with this one. Segment 2, still had the moral tale aspect to it, but not a wrathful kind.
Spielberg seems to love everything about life, and this one's infused with that feeling. Segment 3 was the weakest. EXCELLENT creatures but it seems devoid of any particular lesson, or cruel Twilight Zone tragedy for the main character.
Segment 4 would be the second best. John Lithgow is great and the creature is awesome. Unlike Segment 3, it has that mean spiritedness to the main character that was just great about the original show.
