Review of Twelve Monkeys (1995) by Matthieu H — 28 Jun 2012
Full of ingenuity and solid performances (with one notable exception), this taut sci-fi thriller displays the breadth of Gilliam's imaginative powers. However, 12 Monkeys bumbles over some cliche elements, and Pitt's performance is certainly not his best (call me a heretic).
Overall, an enjoyably eerie movie that keeps you thinking about it for a while.
