Review of Turtles Can Fly (2004) by Michael C — 12 Nov 2007
This story centers on a group of children who live in a Kurdish village. It is the eve of the US-led invasion and apprehensions and hopes abound about how their lives will change. Like "Landscape in the mist", this movie focuses on the lives of children during sweeping social changes and the dangers of ignoring them.
Tragedy, unfortunately, is the current intersection of our two cultures. May it will be different.
