Review of Turtles Can Fly (2004) by Jinnie M — 31 Jul 2012
The intensity of this film took my breath away. it depicted a village in iraq during the weeks prior to usa troops arriving. the village has got few adults as hussains troops have killed them. meanwhile the children left behind try to earn a living by defusing landmines.
the film is moving. inspiring.heart warming and hard hitting. only watch it if you have a box of tissues and you can cope with the after effects of witnessing a brutal insight into the effects of saddams regime.
