Turistas starts out to be an interesting and stylish sort of film successfully engaging with most of its audience. However, during the second half, the film slides into a complete and utter mess.

In the last 30 mins the film becomes extremely confusing as you can't actually tell who is chasing who, the poor lighting in the film contributes greatly to this. The dark scenes were undoubtedly used to create an atmosphere and to build suspence, however, it doesn't succeed and the road to the conclusion becomes a shambles.

Alex (Josh Duhamel) is on vacation with his sister, Bea (Olivia Wilde) and her wild friend, Amy (Beau Garrett). Pru (Melissa George), is a long way away from her native Australia and Finn (Desmond Askew) and Liam (Max Brown) are visiting from the U.K., looking for wine and women. After there bus takes a wrong turn it slides uncontrolably down a steep embankment. Luckily, all the passangers get out of the bus safely. They are told that they will have to wait 10 hours for another bus to arrive, so, after a quick decision they decide to ignore the bus and go and check out a rumour of a secret beach and bar (the decision was mainly led by Finn and Liam; the womanisers).

After finding the beach and a long night of drinking and dancing they wake up to find themselves half naked - they had been drugged and robbed! They realise that they have to find somewhere safe to go, they find a local and reluctantly follow him to the 'safe house'. After they arrive they soon realise the 'paradise lost'. Let the organ harvesting begin! (Ok maybe an overstatement).

Director John Stockwell replaces gore with scares and suspence although he fails to succeed.

Even though their isnt much bare breast on show the movie still offers a kind of sexy feel with lead actor, hunk, Josh Duhamel and lead actress, babe, Olivia Wilde.

Although the ending is pretty clear and understandable the road to the conclusion is far from it. Towards the end the audience lose intrest and frustration trumps any possible scares.

*A decent horror flick in places but just a complete disaster in others*.
