Review of Turbo Kid (2015) by Jesus B — 29 Jan 2016

Turbo Kid just became one of my favorite movies, Ever! This independent, low budget film, did everything right and fulfills every category that you can hope for in a great movie. It is set in a post apocalyptic world (think Mad Max) and a young kid wants to be just like his favorite comic book hero.

He meets a young girl and a cowboy along his adventures and things never skip a beat. There are countless laugh out loud moments, plenty of bloody and gory fight scenes, and even touching moments that might make you shed a tear.

It tells a tale of revenge, love and trying to save humanity from an unruly leader. The title may seem kiddy but this film is far from it. It pays homage to 80's action adventure flicks with the audio and tons of stylish effects throughout.

The pace is non-stop and the whole 90 minutes will have you hooked. Even at times it seems like it might be a little corny but somehow they push through it and it all turns out to be nothing less then top notch entertainment.

Turbo Kid should not be missed, go watch it right now on Netflix, you will not be disappointed.
