Review of Tsotsi (2005) by Stian K — 12 Sep 2007
Compelling drama about a young boy in one of the worst ghettoes on the planet who gets his life turned around in a dramatic and heart-tearing incident. Excellent acting, great story, picturesque cinematics filled with hope and redemption.
Also one of the few depictions of ghetto life in South Africa, a country with one of the highest crime rates in the world. Set to a pumping South African hip-hop soundtrack, this is a film you won't forget easily.
