Review of Tsotsi (2005) by Jo R — 23 Mar 2011
I actually heard the soundtrack before I saw the film. Phenomenal music, best listened to quite loud. After seeing the film I think the music is a key element, it contributes to the moods really well.
The film itself as a whole was really good. The acting, especially by Presley Chweneyagae, was brilliant. The emotion is so powerful, Chweneyagae really shows the extremes of his emotion which works well. It wasn't what I expected at all, the story was very realistic and the portrayel of the slums. I would say it is a challenging film to watch, but worth it.
