Review of True Romance (1993) by Chaitanya B — 02 Aug 2011
...2011: almost 20years after (f...k!) , and after having been greatest fan EVER of Pulp-Fiction (I even posess one of the actual real Pulp-magazines of the release fdate of the movie), I find finally this "Tony Scott" recut of the originally non-linear Tarantino's script excellent in fact! It gives a unique "classic Western/road movie" tone to this one, skipping the dramaturgic-irony (like the death of Vincent in Pulp-Fiction, very alive in the next scene) by transforming a cool-script in something BIGGER after-all , something that skips the "I know the non-linear B-movies rules" away.
.... : 'deserves to be treated as it is, a VERY good movie (I just remember it as a Video-club hit, 'never had the chance to see it in Theater).
