Review of True Romance (1993) by Graham M — 21 Feb 2015
Holds up well (despite some extremely problematic language and gender politics), most likely due to Quentin Tarantino's subversive-for-its-time script. There's something specially, disbelief suspendingly Tarantino-ness to Alabama falling for Clem over marathon b-movie sessions and reading of comic book synopses.
But hey, there's room for wish fulfillment in Hollywood - exPRESS yourself, Quentin! Man, what a missed opportunity that he didn't direct.
