Review of True Lies (1994) by Ilia D — 31 Aug 2009
One of my favorite action movies, and I think it's one of Arnold's best. I don't care what the reviews say - it's got action, comedy, drama and even Jamie Lee Curtis doing a striptease - what more do you want.
The story isn't very deep but it is more involved than the typical action flick fare - heck it's better than Quantum of Solace. The action is fast, explosive and varied - a chase on a horse, a nuclear explosion and a Harrier jet hovering over a building - name another movie that has all three in it.
Finally, bill Paxton is funny, and if it did nothing else but give Eliza Dushku a start in the business then it's already great in my book.
