Review of True Lies (1994) by Joe C — 30 Aug 2010
This may have been a typical 'go big or go home' style of movie that James Cameron does so well, but this was a great movie.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was great as the lead character.
The whole movie feels like it's a bit of a spoof of the genre yet being very well done with a good cast of actors.
The whole 'wife is cheating' story they through in was a little slow but all in all this is still a fun movie with a ton of action (a ton of very memorable scenes throughout the movie, it felt like a bunch of action idea mashed into a movie that worked well) and a lot of comedy to go with it.
Tia Carrere, a young Eliza Dushku, Bill Paxton, Jamie Lee Curtis, Charleton Heston and even Tom Arnold were very good with a great sense of fun to the whole movie.
