It's weird to see Cameron go this goofy. I'm not sure it's 100% successful at doing... whatever it's trying to do here, but it's surreal and kinetic and never quite what it seems. The movie ends up being surprisingly sweet, given how many misogynistic red flags are raised in the first 30 minutes or so.
