Review of True Lies (1994) by Andrew ( — 29 Mar 2011
True Lies a film that is funny, and action packed.
I know not my best opening, anyways moving onto the film at hand. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Harry Tasker a man trying to keep his two lives separate. Things start to mix when Harry suspects that his wife is having an affair, and uses his work to find out the truth, but things get out of hand, and the rest is for you to find out.
For me the film suffers from too much focus on his family life, and we sort of lose interest in what is going on with the terrorists. Not to mention his troubled family life focuses a little to much on his marriage, and doesn't really give us a great example of what his relationship is like with his daughter.
However on a positive note we do get to see Jamie Lee Curtis give a very sexy, and in some instances awkward pole dance. (It is when she's younger so don't be discouraged if any of you guys get aroused) The film is a crowd pleaser, but as far as James Cameron's films go this seems to be a weaker attempt compared to others, but definitely not his weakest that spot is reserved for Piranhas 2: The Spawning.
