They don?t make pimps like they used to.
Truck Turner is a bounty hunter that tracks down subpoenaed individuals. When his job requires that he tracks down a pimp, the mission ultimately leads to him killing the target. The pimp?s predecessor, a female that takes over the pimp?s stable of hoes, orders a hit on Truck Taylor. Taylor will need to avoid being killed by the would be assassins and bring down a ring of pimps.

Jonathan Kaplan, director of In Cold Blood, Brokedown Palace, Reform School Girl, Bad Girls, The Accused, Unlawful Entry, and Girls of the White Orchid, delivers Truck Turner. The storyline for this picture is fascinating and well delivered. The script is marvelous and the cast delivers worthwhile and entertaining performances. The cast includes Isaac Hayes, Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek), and Yaphet Kotto (The Running Man).

Truck Turner was part of the MGM channel?s August drive-in marathon. This film was better than I anticipated and Isaac Hayes was outstanding in the lead role. I found this action picture well presented and the characters presented perfectly. I recommend seeing this film at least once if you are a fan of the soul cinema action pictures.
