Review of Truck Turner (1974) by Michael H — 23 Jun 2014
A Hollywood studio stepped into the Blaxploitation ring with a solid contender. The movie's bit aimless at first but dances about with some wit and style before laying into a solid final action sequence culminating in an unusually creatively filmed death scene.
That, plus the great Isaac Hayes soundtrack (including a song that intercuts very effectively with his dialog) make this a cut above standard Grindhouse fare.
