Review of Troy (2004) by Aaron K — 04 Aug 2012
A few redeeming fight sequences can't save this 'script-as-an-afterthought' portrayal of the fall of Troy. Choppy and disjointed, its pacing issues struggle with the near to three-hour-long running time.
Still, if you enjoyed Gladiator you will enjoy the massive battles and the historical drama, but do not expect it to be anywhere near Ridley Scott's equal. An exceptionally whiney Orlando Bloom does nothing to help a list of unlikeable list of characters.
Average and often boring for me, I tend to fast forward to the fights and skip the melodramatic drama that holds more cheese than the average pizza...
