Review of Troy (2004) by Justin O — 29 Oct 2012
After watching the Director's Cut of this film, which adds an additional 34 minutes of footage, I was finally able to get past the multitude of flaws within this film and accept it for the epic piece of filmmaking it is.
Poetic, sprawling, bloody, imposing, and yes, admittedly, emotionally distant, this is still a fine work of celluloid. Give the Director's Cut on Blu-ray a second look, you may be surprised at what you find.
