Review of Troy (2004) by Remy B — 03 Jan 2013
When this movie first came out I was really impressed with it; I thought is was a well made epic tale. While it's still a well made movie, watching it again nearly ten years later I notice some major issues with the film.
I don't think there is anything really significant to advise anyone to stay away from this movie, just be warned of some absurdly cheesy dialog and some poor acting in s number of the more serious scenes.
Overall however, this is an enjoyable film. Brad Pitt played one of his best roles to date, Orlando Bloom portrays Paris quite well and of course, it's always a pleasure to see a movie where Sean Bean is one of the only major players remaining.
