Review of Trouble the Water (2008) by Michelle L — 17 Jun 2009
"Trouble the Water" is a documentary about Hurricane Katrina as told through the eyes (and lens) of someone who actually lived through it. Arguably uneven, it still assembles a damning portrait of a government that turned its back on one of its cities.
It bears the same message as Spike Lee's "When the Levee's Broke" with a more personal and human touch.
