Review of Trouble the Water (2008) by Ashton S — 28 Sep 2009
I didn't finish watching this so I can't honestly comment on it. But, I think it has it's good and bad points. Personally I am used to the Michael Moore style of investigative journalism compared to that of stupid people pointing cameras at things that turn out to be interesting. It's mentally hard to listen and watch being both an amateur production and heavily accented poor African American English.
For me it raised as many questions about the subjects as it did about the evil nature of the events surrounding the disaster. I looked at the so called poor people and thought, hey they live in big houses in an area which to me looks ok. So I guess deep down I questioned their integrity and even though what happened was wrong, I kind of understand the motivation for it.
