Review of Trouble the Water (2008) by Lee G — 15 Mar 2010
The mismanagement of the Katrina hurricane disaster and aftermath on city, state and national levels is one of the most horrific things I have ever seen. This documentary shares the trials and tragedies of the disaster on an extremely personal level.
It is sad, and terrifying, both before and after the levees broke. While a lot of the footage is shot from a handicam, unsteady and amateur, it is the real thing, visceral, the way you would react to an emergency of your own.
