Review of Tropical Malady (2004) by Thomas T — 04 Sep 2007
Two seperate stories but yet somewhat related, again Apichatpong Weerasethakul plays on folk story and traditional tale. Masterly controlled atmoshphere, mysteriously spooky in the first part, especially toward the end of the first half.
The second half is wild and loose. Could they be read as the conscious and subconscious?
