The visuals I got to say are quite impressive for the time. Some of it is pretty dated, but other than that it was nice to look at. Once of course you actually got to "The Grid". The first part of the movie is a bore. It's just people typing and walking for who knows how long. Now in the "Grid' itself. Also a bore. The characters are flat, the acting...ok, and the story is, well. The story is very flat. Altogether it's a bad movie, though a bad movie I can see why some people like it. The score and visuals definitely help you get through it, so it's not unwatchable.
It's an 80's classic though that I'd rather not watch again.
