For it's time it was revolutionary in regards to computer animation but it has the unfortunately distinct "bound to the 1980's" aspect that so many movies of that era have and in scifi that is seldom a good thing.

Now that the visuals have been drastically improved upon TRON garners little more than a "good for you".
