Shockingly entertaining! Trolls doesn't pretend to be anything its not and doesn't talk down to anyone. Plot wise its nothing new but everything works; its sweet, funny enough, and has a great colour and texture palette.
The song choices work well and while the original songs aren't particularly memorable they aren't terrible. The cover songs work very well because the voice cast is full of talented singers, including star Anna Kendrick who gets to, once again, show off her sizable rap talents.
