Review of Triumph of the Will (1935) by Jack B — 24 May 2008
I thought this would be interesting, but I found it very not. I feel sort of ashamed for saying so, but I don't appreciate this film like other people do. I would say the appeal is somewhat dated. I don't think it's stunning filmmaking in the least bit and I could make a better Nazi propaganda film.
At least that was my reaction when I saw it first. But I'll probably never watch it again.
