Only 3 stars but in many ways it was better than that...only rarely have we seen America this dark, decaying projects gangs and corrupt cops in a dance of death.... Miami Vice, Driver, training day, heat, a place beyond the pines, all great movies, in some ways this darkness does it better.

...worth a watch, the stellar cast could have pulled off a classic, but at least they have borne witness to cultural decline and national decay.
