Nothing really special to be honest. Yeah, there are a lot of twists and turns in this film, but there are also a lot of stuff that you can definitely see coming. The overall feeling to the movie is just 'meh'. Just an average horror movie with some funny elements spliced in between. It seems since Evil Dead 2, a lot of filmmakers have been trying to make something close to that. The only movie that got even close was Shaun of the Dead, and that was a great movie. Trick 'r Treat isn't a great movie. Its just one of those short, well filmed, cliched horror movies that you'll enjoy for an evening but forget the next day.
