Review of Trespass (1992) by Hugh M — 19 Nov 2008
A memorable film, as it is excellent in creating setting and mood. A great film of the early nine tee's it's strength is that it is unique, which makes it all that more entertaining. the setting and backdrop are excellently executed, with the use of a derelict and abandoned building complex providing visceral realism.
the ghetto tone provides the over all feel for the film. well shot scenes and interactions, provide for an engaging film that is easy to follow. Trespass also has an element of childhood fantasy; in that it deals with a hunt for lost treasure.
The characters are well casted and genuine, providing another key strength for the film. ultimately the reactions of the characters create a realistic environment and insight.
