Review of Tremors II: Aftershocks (1996) by Scott M — 05 Aug 2008

I grew up watching the Tremors series and this is oddly enough my favourite one out of the four. I loved this film to pieces when I was a kid and as ive grown up my attitude towards this film has simply not changed.

For a low budget creature feature this film has everything, its got action, suspense, gore and a hell of a lot of laughs. In fact Tremors 2 will always stick in my mind as one of the funniest films I have ever seen (EVER!) This is mostly due to the brilliant characters and their perfect comic timing, Michael Gross especially standing out as the eccentric gun nut Burt Gummer.

If you have an open mind and a weakness for cheapish comedy horror like myself then you cannot go wrong with Tremors 2.

+ Burt's "I think they did get him" Speech.

+ Great creature effects (for the time).

+ It makes you feel happy.

+ The 'plot twist' is unexpected and genius.

Verdict: A timeless creature feature which will make you laugh for years to come. "I didnt know! How could I have known!?".
