Review of Tremors II: Aftershocks (1996) by Miles K — 10 Jan 2014
A very worthy sequel, with both returning and new actors doing a good job with their roles. FX wise, it does not disapoint, with the graboid's new form looking as cool (if not cooler) than than the Graboid itself.
They really did a great job with less than half the buget of the first film, but for the 3d act, animatronics couldn't cut it, so some CGI was in order, which (thankfully) wasn't that bad. Anyway I thought the movie was very good, but here are my only criticisms: 1.
It would have been nice to see more of the graboids, 2. A bigger budget would also have been cool (this probably would solve my not enough graboid problem too), and 3. The shriekers should have come in mabe 15 minutes sooner.
But other than that this is a great movie and I recommend it for anyone who saw the first one. 7.8/10.
