Review of Tremors II: Aftershocks (1996) by Jessica G — 02 Nov 2007
This movie was very boring at times, I love Burt though, he is always entertaining.
Unfortunately they introduce the f--ing annoying "Screechers" in this movie, I really hate them.
The original monsters were cool and unpredictable, but the screechers look like Turkeys that are completely deaf, and they multiply into 19 more screechers by eating a chocolate bar, so not only are they annoying, they becomes way too many too quickly.
What I liked most about the first Tremors was the suspension, that the monsters were hiding, but you didn't know where, and just touching the ground would make them come after you, it had me nervous all the time. But here, a lot of scenes involve the characters actually seeing the screechers, but are trying to avoid being seen by them. You know they were there, you knew how to avoid them... it just seemed to easy. Unfortunately they killed off the original monsters, they are only in the beginning of the movie, because unfortunately, screechers spawn from the original monsters, killing them in the process.
