Review of Treasure Planet (2002) by Lara C — 08 Jul 2009
Nice one. Interesting Disney version of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. Little bit futuristic, but with some antique details. Nicely bonded together.
Troublemaker teen Jim Hawkins (voice Joseph Gordon-Levitt) meet dying pirate who give him the map to the legendary treasure of Captain Nathaniel Flint. Believing the legend is true, he begans his journey across the universe on a space galleon, under command of Captain Amelia (voice Emma Thompson). There he meet charismatic cyborg named John Silver (voice Brian Murray) and his crew, making enemies right away with Scroop (voice Michael Wincott) and get into more trouble along the way with a help of crazy robot B.E.N. (voice Martin Short) in this great adventure. Will they find treasure planet or not, you'll see.
I liked charachters of B.E.N, little Morph and Scroop. B.E.N. cos his funny and crazy, Morph cos his adorable and Scroop cos he is so mean. His charachter was perfectly completed with deep rasping voice of Michael Wincott.
Overall, nice one. Enjoy =).
I.
