Review of Treasure Planet (2002) by Dave H — 10 Nov 2013
One of the forgotten Disney films of the 00's, Treasure Planet is actually quite good. Plenty of action and some excellent 3D animation lift a mediocre retelling of the old children's classic. There are some questionable choices - why is everyone in the future dressed like they're in the 18th century? -but some smart ones as well - the romance takes a backseat and deals with supporting characters rather than the lead.
A villain that struggles with morality is also a welcome touch. Not bad, Disney.
