Review of Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly (2019) by Christianlamar — 02 Aug 2020
Unbelievable fun throughout. Not a clear explanation of why he chose to perform at the Super Bowl, but other than that, it’s pure entertainment. Travis isn’t deep, and is aware of this, so the doc is just a feel good and showcase of his creativity, creative process and come up, without any serious insight or anything of the sort.
However, older fans will recall when Travis made the song “Don’t Play,” where he claims he’s coming for the throne and is taking music seriously... just not lyrics, which works for him. In the credits, “COFFEE BEAN” plays in the background, which is the most serious subject matter songs La Flame has ever made.
